ANDOVER - The President/Executive Director of our local chamber of commerce is set to be Thursday's speaker at Rotary Club of Andover. Becky Wolfe will talk to members about the various activities that her organization is involved in, and give an update on the progress the chamber has seen in the last year.
ANDOVER – As one of the most recognizable figures in Andover, Mike Thompson has handed over the gavel for at least one of his many projects. The longtime community leader was honored by the Andover Rotary Club as the chapter’s outgoing president on Thursday.
Last year the Andover Rotary Club joined forces with CRAWT in support of two schools on the preserve with over 900 students, providing a generator for a reliable source of clean water to one school and desks for the students at another. In affiliation with Rotary International, Rotary Club of Andover (RCA) is a group of passionate business professionals, civic leaders, and retirees who coordinate our collective experience, career skills, and enthusiasm to improve our community through meaningful service projects. We are a group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in our community and have fun while serving others. We meet on the first and second Thursdays of the month at Butler Community College in Andover, Kansas. We share a delicious buffet lunch together while having an informative program, usually with a guest speaker from the community.
