District Governor Visits Andover Club

The Andover Rotary Club held an unusual fourth meeting of the month in July - but for good reason, as District Governor Dean Kennedy was in town to visit. In addition to his meeting with the Rotarians, he also held a short visit with the Board of Directors to visit about the upcoming year.

Kennedy gave a general discussion about Rotary, and said that his goal is for every Rotarian to dream and in turn accomplish our dreams.

The Governor was complimentary of the Rotary Club of Andover in particular for supporting the RYLA Camp, which takes place in his home town of Winfield each year. He also visited with local Rotarians about the polio, and the fifteen cases that have identified this year.

Kennedy stated that every Rotarian can make a difference by donating a minimum of $26.50, which was the first amount given in 1917.

The next meeting of the Andover Rotary Club will be this Thursday at Noon, at the Hereford House meeting room of Terradyne Country Club.
