Jenny Shipman, Alzheimer's Association Program Director, talked to club members about the things that we can do now to reduce our risk of cognitive decline such as exercising, socializing, eating a healthy diet, and learning something new. It's never too late to adopt healthy habits. Jenny gave the advice of starting now, starting small, engaging others, and making it fun.
Join us for the Rotary Club of Andover's first ever pickleball tournament to raise money for our club's community service and international projects. Our inaugural pickleball tournament will be held at Terrdayne Country Club, 1400 Terradyne St, Andover, KS 67002 on Saturday, June 19, 2021. We have an exciting day of pickleball activities planned for everyone. Players and non-players are all welcome.
On Thursday, October 8, thanks to a partnership initiative between the Andover Police Department, the Rotary Club of Andover, and the additional generosity of the Generations Church, Andover police officers delivered food boxes to approximately 25 Andover families in need. The boxes included a number of pre-packaged meals and fresh food items including milk, cottage cheese, potatoes, onions, and chicken nuggets. Several leftover boxes were also delivered to the Sunshine Children’s Home.
