National Immunization Day

DeAnn Sullivan (Rotary Club of West Wichita) recently visited India as part of an End Polio Now immunization campaign. She presented about polio and the importance to keep working towards making every country polio free. She recapped her trip that she took with 30 other Rotarians from 4 countries.

Jeff Best and the Municipal Amphitheater at the Andover Central Park

Speaker Jeff Best from LK Architecture meet the Andover Rotary club in the Lodge at Andover Central Park. Jeff is the Director of Landscape Architecture for LK Architecture, which is in charge of the design of the municipal Amphitheater at the Andover Central Park. Jeff has been part of this project since its start back in December 2016, working along with the Andover Amphitheater Design Committee. The design aspect includes the surrounding buildings and the natural features of the park with a total budget of around $1.4 million.

Pilot Clint Randolph speaks about his time in the sky

Speaker Clint Randolph had many interesting facts and stories to share about this life with the Club on Thursday. Clint’s 39 year aviation career has spanned the Globe: he has visited 147 different countries. While in the Air Force he was based in Texas twice, Japan, Illinois, North Carolina, and Oklahoma. As a Corporate Pilot he was based in Houston, Dubai, Spain, and his home state of California. Clint has over 7,800 flying hours in 14 different types of Aircraft.

We meet on the first and second Thursdays of the month at Butler Community College in Andover, Kansas. We share a delicious buffet lunch together while having an informative program, usually with a guest speaker from the community.
